Advocacy Safety Net


Choices Are pleased to be working with Hampshire Advocacy Partnership to deliver Advocacy Safety Net Project. 


The Advocacy Safety Net will help people who fall between gaps in services to find the right support that meets their health or social care needs

From May to October 2021 people with a learning disability, autism or mental health issues (or other vulnerable adults) in Hampshire can be supported by advocates to


  • Find the most appropriate service


  • Make informed decisions and choices


  • Ensure services make adjustments for their needs


These are some of the services you may need support to access and work with:

  • Local authority social care, welfare and child protection services
  • GP surgeries, hospital outpatients services, Learning Disability Liaison and community nurses
  • Police and criminal justice agencies
  • Citizen’s Advice, and other debt or housing advice services
  • Local district councils
  • Local specialist services like Autism Hampshire, carers organisations, mental health Wellbeing services
  • Statutory independent advocacy where appropriate
